MMA GLoves and MMA Gear You Need
April 2nd, 2010
When it comes to the different typles of MMA gloves, the choices usually are not too wide and the feature are not too great either.
Padding can either be for sparring, bag work of competition
The sparring gloves have much more padding than all other gloves. They usually have finger loops that keep your fingers free so you can grab while you are on the ground. You might think the additional padding is to protect your hands- incorrect. To protect your sparring partner…
Bag gloves are pretty much created so you don’t chew your hand up as they skip accross the face of the striking bag- It’s really a friction burn. These kinds of gloves also have a extended wrist wrap that helps support the wrist. The padding is not as good because the striking surface is padded. You do not need it.
Competiton gloves usualy need to satisfy some minimum requirements. The paddin alone need to weight 4-5 ounces. The knuckles are safeguarded and so too are the backs of the hands. The various fighting leagues have their very own standards and their gloves are the only ones you should use.
Appearance
Throughout the shopping experience, the way a glove looks is among the most crucial features. As a retailer, I have found the coolness aspect means a whole lot. Even though good old basic black glove with a decent logo printed on it, the gloves with wild graphics printed on them sell pretty good too.
Leather or Vinyl
I personally like the leather gloves. You can’t compare the feel of real leather to the inexpensive vinyl gloves. The edges of vinyl gloves can cut and irritate the skin of the hands. You just cannot compare to the good old smell and feel of a tough cow hide. On your next mma gloves purchase, keep these 3 things in your mind. What type of training will you be doing? Sparring, training or competition. How crucial is the appearance? Lastly, spend a few extra bucks. Cow hide gloves are likely to last a whole lot longer than the vinyl and they will perform better too.
Items to consider
Prior to runing out and purchase a set of MMA Gloves, there are some items to consider. What are you going to use them for, just how much will you be willing to shell out and how much does manufacturer mean to you
I recommend to my shoppers that training gloves do not have to be costly. Why spend a lot on gloves that will be used-up and sweaty?
Many fighters are generally in to the vanity thing- well at the least right up until the first time they get hit in the nose and their eye balls well-up with tears. Get past the looks and find an outstanding glove!
