Home Business Or Pyramid Scheme?

August 9th, 2009

Before you rush for the next work at home opportunity (like a pyramid scheme for example) that comes long, do consider a few issues. Instead of plunging blindly into the next mlm business opportunity that comes along, take time to learn and discover more about these opportunities. Usually it is the naive and gullible who are the first victims to put their heads to the slaughter. In considering an offer, read the fine prints and see if the company is out to rip you of whatever little savings you have instead of genuinely offering you a job opportunity.

In reality, if you decide to sign up for a pyramid scheme, the distance from you and riches is not a leisurely walk across the green field but a perilous trekking through a mysterious jungle full of wild animals and scary living plants. It is in fact a nightmare because you have to sign up and then ‘upgrade to a status member’ by buying the product in question, whether you want it or not. When the buying and sponsoring in the pyramid scheme stops, the bonuses automatically also stops!

Earning twenty dollars from a spending of sixty dollars is not so bad but to keep spending without earning anything in return is disastrous. Yet for those who shy away from the paradigm of ‘once beaten twice shy’, they will still (voluntarily) get themselves trapped in other pyramid schemes and continue to do so until doomsday because these people never learn to say ‘enough is enough’. There are companies who do offer genuine ‘work at home’ or home based network marketing opportunities to those who master a degree of flair for writing where you can market your skills safely and earn a steady income if you keep your part of the bargain honestly. You can refer to other people’s experience to identify a legitimate company of good standing on the internet. There are many websites that offer opinions and advice for working at home and these websites or forums as they are called also provide valuable information about specific companies and their reputation.

A few years back, you may remember hearing about the problems with pyramids schemes and other types of moneymaking ideas. The structure of this type of scheme does allow ‘early birds’ to make money but as more people participate, those at the base of the pyramid will be forced to carry the financial burden. To part with sixty dollars buying products you will never use in order to make a few dollars is not an easy decision to make.

The advertisement purposely omits the fact that people need to buy something to generate an income. Only after signing in as a member will you be told that you need to spend money to upgrade yourself before you can start earning. When you buy the product in order to upgrade, you are only taking a chance that others will do the same and running the risk that in the final analysis you are the only one doing so. After waiting to make money, you will give up and be out the business for a product you never used. If people know that only the original product owners are reaping the benefits of every pyramid scheme, then it would be easier to find real ‘work from home business’ jobs on the internet. In the absence of pyramid scams, it would be safe to enroll for ‘work from home business‘ jobs on the internet.
