How To Increase Your Business By 200% Using Facebook
November 15th, 2009Facebook is one of those phenomenon online that the smart marketers can’t ignore. Currently, Alexa ranks Facebook the number three website on the entire internet over the last three months. However, this month (September 2009) Facebook is rated #2, passing up both YouTube and Yahoo. We all need to acknowledge that Facebook has become the #1 trend online, and if you pay attention to it in your business, you’ll be able to improve your bottom line dramatically. My overall intention with this message is to warn about some mistakes that most people make, as well as give you a strategy that personally increases my sales by 200%.
So what’s the guiding principle behind marketing successfully on Facebook? To break things into absolute basics, social networks are built to do just that, be social and network. People don’t want to be badgered by business offers on their Facebook accounts again and again. I’m constantly annoyed on Facebook by people who send me ‘opportunity of a lifetime’ messages, and you probably are, too. (If that’s you, do us all a favour and stop it today.)
So what you want to do is just be on Facebook to really connect with people, and to benefit them in some way if you can. If your goal is to benefit people and it comes across in your marketing, it’s fine to send out marketing messages on social networks, and it’s not annoying, either. Remember, have a goal of solving problems in all the actions you take, and others will be attracted to your business offers all on their own.
Really, it’s a similar concept to networking at a Chamber of Commerce meeting or a Church of some kind. Have you ever been attacked by a business opportunity at Church? Well, I certainly have. It is extremely irritating and invasive, just as it is to get the same canned marketing pitch on Facebook day after day after day.
I want to share with you how I use this social networking site. Even though Facebook isn’t my most used strategy, I do use it quite a bit. Essentially, when I get new subscribers to my traffic newsletter, I find that person on Facebook If I have time, and I add them as a friend, sending them a personal hello message. By performing the simple act of connecting with my subscribers, I sell twice as much product as I did from the same amount of people, because they relate to me on a more personal level. Simple, isn’t it? Then I simply connect with the people who ask me questions. I don’t take too much time doing this, I just respond to all of my messages a couple of times per week.
It’s amazing how few business people there are out there who actually take the time to connect with their customers. Using this simple technique, I’ve created a lot of great relationships, and made enough money to make it worth it. Why don’t you test it out in your business? You’ve got nothing to lose!
Just keep this next idea close to your heart, and you’ll prosper online with Facebook. Give with abundance, and you’ll recieve with abundance as a result. This is the law of abundance, my friend. I’ll see you on Facebook.
